First Time We Met
Jan 13,2022On January 13th, 2022 Clare happened to be out celebrating with work friends in San Jose - with no other plans other than to have a girls night out. As fate would have it, Kasra would also happen to be out with a soccer pal too. Both far from their homes, but that night across the bar from each other. Clare saw Kasra and immediately called him over (quite literally, “you in the hat! Come here!”). Without hesitation, Kasra ditched his friend to spend the rest of the evening chatting and getting to know Clare. Numbers were exchanged, but Clare found Kasra on Instagram the next day (flirty DMs were exchanged and texting began).
Our First Date
Mar 17,2022After a couple months since their first meeting, Kasra finally asked Clare out on what would be considered her perfect date. With plans in place to go to sushi and the SF symphony (again, perfect) - Although the symphony didn’t happen that first date (he made up for it on date 3!!!), sushi was and Clare was smitten. This would be the first of MANY sushi dates to come (their favorite).
First of Forever
Feb 13,2024Over the next year and half of long distance, weekend trips, FaceTimes and vacations - they moved in together in San Diego in September 2023. And on February 13th, 2024 (Clare’s lucky number and NOT Valentine’s Day) Kasra came back to their shared apartment with a plan in place. After a very long trip to the “grocery store” Kasra got down on one knee and asked Clare to marry him. Unbeknownst to Clare, this errand was actually Kasra making phone calls to her parents and sister for their blessings. Amongst tears and without hesitation, Clare said yes and the next chapter began! It was the perfect setting: at home, just them two, and Clare’s hair in a bun.
